CLIQ Partners with the University of Calgary to Tackle Real-World Solutions through Hackathon

The Dr. Barrie Strafford Centre for Learning, Innovation and Quality (CLIQ) is proud to highlight our recent partnership with the University of Calgary to tackle real-world healthcare solutions through their hackathon.

For three years in a row, UCalgary Nursing’s Healthcare Innovation and Design graduate certificate has involved a hackathon that pairs graduate level nursing students with engineering students studying software design to reimagine healthcare through digital solutions and innovation. This year, CLIQ will offer seed funding and mentorship to help the successful project take off.

“We value the insight of new learners,” said Catherine Laing, Executive Director of CLIQ. “And we love the potential of our frontline staff, our RNs, solving some of those health-care problems that we’re seeing day-to-day, using a new digital health design.”
