CLIQ and Vilans Launch International Partnership

The Dr. Barrie Strafford Centre for Learning, Innovation, and Quality (CLIQ) at The Brenda Strafford Foundation and Dignity and Pride for the Future (Waardigheid en trots) at Vilans are pleased to announce a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This partnership will advance research focused on the needs of formal and informal caregiving in Canadian and Dutch continuing care settings.

At the centre of this partnership is a person-centred research study that captures the needs, preferences, and lived experiences of formal and informal caregivers. This partnership will also explore how technology can strengthen the collaboration between formal and informal caregivers in care environments and support smooth transitions from community to continuing care. Through co-design sessions, practical tools and knowledge products will be developed to identify functionalities of potential technologies to improve the collaboration between formal and informal caregivers.

This initiative furthers CLIQ’s mission to form alliances and craft innovative solutions that promise far-reaching impact on the future of our work across the areas of aging care and senior living, community support systems, and international healthcare.

Vilans is the leading national organization specialized in knowledge management for healthcare and support in the Netherlands. This partnership aligns with Vilans’ vision to place life at the centre and foster a society where knowledge is shared to achieve better care together.
