We are excited to announce the launch of The Brenda Strafford Foundation's Energy and Waste Management Dashboard, a powerful new tool designed to give site leadership and the Senior Leadership Team greater visibility into how our energy conservation and waste reduction efforts are making a difference.
Until now, performance reporting was provided through static Microsoft Excel and PDF reports - helpful but limited. These older reports only offered a snapshot in time and lacked interactivity. With the new Power BI-based dashboard, users can now dive deeper into the data, exploring performance trends over time and customizing their view by selecting specific sites and periods of interest. This evolution marks a major step forward in tracking our environmental impact and advancing our sustainability goals.
As part of this initiative, we are also proud to incorporate the Fuel Management Report from Institut Brenda Strafford (IBS) - Haiti directly into the dashboard, expanding our reach and impact globally.
Key Features of the Dashboard:
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Savings by Site – Provides the equivalent of trees planted and cars taken off the road.
Annual Energy Savings by Site – Displays savings in both dollar value and greenhouse gas reductions.
Energy Efficiency vs Target – Tracks how each site is performing against its sustainability goals.
Energy Utilization – Displays electricity and natural gas consumption trenda over a 12-month period.
Fuel Consumption & Savings (IBS – Haiti) – Monitors usage and efficiency improvements in real-time.
Recycled Waste by Site – Tracks tonnage of recycled materials, trended month-to-date.
Waste Generation by Category – Gain insights into paper, plastics, aluminum, glass, and cardboard waste streams.
This dashboard isn’t just about reporting—it’s about empowering our teams to act. By visualizing our progress and making performance data accessible and interactive, we can better manage our carbon footprint, celebrate our achievements, and identify opportunities for further improvement.
Together, we are creating healthier environments, reducing waste, and making measurable strides in sustainability.
