BSF’s SPARQ Committee is wrapping up another incredible project, and this time, we're shining the spotlight on the phenomenal work happening at Heart Home Network!
Supported by BSF’s Dr. Barrie Strafford Centre for Learning, Innovation & Quality (CLIQ), SPARQ Committees are our dedicated Quality Improvement teams. They bring together residents, families, front-line staff, and corporate team members to make a real difference and influence change in the places they live and work.
For this project, the HHN SPARQ Committee identified a need for a common area where clients could relax and spend time together. They also noticed that the pantry area could use a makeover. Not only was this project desired by the employees but was something they had heard often from clients too.
The team was nothing short of resourceful throughout this project! They transformed an existing space into a versatile area that serves both as a cozy sitting spot and a revamped pantry. While some items were purchased, many were creatively repurposed or crafted by the team and their amazing helpers. A fresh coat of paint brought the space to life, making it vibrant and welcoming.
Residents are loving the new space and the delightful coffee available. Plus, they've been providing generous donations to keep the pantry stocked and ready for other clients!
